  • Design Manager - Dallas

    Do you have a vision for running a design department within a contract furniture dealership? Does managing, teaching and organizing a team of designers in a busy, changing environment make your heart beat faster (in a good way)? Do you have a proven track record in the furniture design industry? Are you ready for a fast-paced environment within an accomplished dealership working with top-tier clients across the Dallas marketplace?

    We’re looking for the right individual to manage our in-house Design team.  For 36 years, GL Seaman & Company has been a leader in business furniture, interior construction and office design solutions.  We are the largest Knoll dealer in North Texas and consistently ranked as one of the top 10 dealers in North America. 

    Our Designers work closely with our sales team to capture the vision of our clients and are responsible for producing designs that not only meet, but exceed, client expectations. If you have prior design experience within the contract furniture industry, especially with Knoll, we want to talk with you!

    The Design Manager will be responsible for the department’s end-to-end operations by overseeing (1) project workflow and quality, (2) effectiveness of its systems/tools, and (3) the design team.  Greater details about the position will be shared during the interview process.

  • Showroom Ambassador - Dallas

    GL Seaman & Company is seeking a Showroom Ambassador for their Dallas office.  This captivating position is perfect for someone with the gift of hospitality.  Do you have a keen eye toward beauty and design in furniture—with or without the formal credentials?  Do you keep pace one step ahead of others in anticipating the needs of visitors to create extraordinary experiences?

    Our Showroom Ambassador will set the tone for professionalism and hospitality for our guests.  Your innate sense of urgency will permeate through all responsibilities from reception and hospitality to Design Library management and vendor relations.

    Having an eye for design and an aptitude for coordinating colors and materials will enhance this role.  Your technical skills will also be important in mastering the content of our virtual vault of contract furniture resources.

GL Seaman & Company has been a leading contract furniture dealer in North Texas since 1984, and is among the top four largest Knoll dealers in North America. In 2006, we became a DIRTT Distribution Partner enabling us to add prefabricated, interior construction to our portfolio of solutions. We also ensure that at least 70% of all products sold meet the ANSI BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard, and that shipping cartons and pallets are repurposed.
