Our Impact
At GL Seaman & Company, our mission – to enrich through extraordinary service – extends beyond our clients. We have an obligation to leave all things better than we find them. This includes improving our communities, expanding workplace diversity, and protecting our environment.
Great Leaders Serve
Annually since 2008
A group built on the foundation of giving back, our mission at GL Seaman & Company is to serve the wonderful communities that surround us. Serving alongside one another deepens employee engagement while enriching our community. At least twice each year, all GLSC employees serve the most vulnerable by participating in community service outings during company hours. Beneficiary organizations include:
- For the Love of the Lake
- Seven Loaves Food Pantry
- Joseph’s Coat Clothing Closet
- National Breast Cancer Foundation
- Ronald McDonald House
- Union Gospel Mission
Mary K. Edwards, President of our Fort Worth office, is an active board member of Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth and Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Texas.

Elevate Internships at GLSC
Year after year, our youth internship program reaches a fresh generation of talent. Our interns have the opportunity to work in real-life project situations and shadow virtually every role in the company. We challenge them to grow beyond the classroom and acquire valuable skills and expertise to succeed beyond our doors.
This paid, summer internship program is designed to develop at-risk youth. Students are introduced to workplace disciplines and norms that are otherwise unknown to adolescents from generational poverty. The program provides driver education, literacy strengthening, and vocational mentorship. Interns receive hands-on experience in warehouse logistics, accounting, project management, design, and authentic exposure to the contract furniture business.
Hip Hop Architecture Camp® Co-Sponsor
Annually beginning 2023
GL Seaman is proud to help bring Hip Hop Architecture Camp® to Dallas beginning Summer 2023. This one-week experience is designed to introduce underrepresented youth to architecture and design through the lens of hip hop culture. Students are paired with architects, urban planners, designers and hip hop artists to create unique visions for their communities as well as models and music videos summarizing their designs. Through a series of promotional events leading up to the summer camp, we will use our influence with local architecture & design firm leaders to expand opportunities for underrepresented professionals.
